The death toll of the earthquake that devastated Sichuan reached nearly 70,000, with 17,445 listed as missing; nearly 374,000 people were injured. Children's Hope Associate Director Melody Zhang and her emergency volunteers are in Sichuan meeting immediate needs of orphans and other affected children and are working now towards restoration and the rebuilding of hope.

Within the seven Hope Center tents, Children's Hope is bringing counseling and a loving message to hurt children and their families. Through the Give Me Hope project, you can make surgeries possible for children with emergency and chronic conditions.
